ABOUT ME

Growing up in both Paris and Djibouti, I discovered the art of meandering between cultures: the YSL boutique on rue Saint Honoré, Paris, small tailor’s shops in Djibouti City, Africa, and the creativity of a stylish Italian grand-mother who taught me how to sew at age five.

After studying philosophy while I filled my notebooks with sketches, I followed my passion for Modern Art at Panthéon La Sorbonne in Paris and started my career as a modern sculptor with my first exhibition in New York City in 2010. Eager to learn and to experience more. I later joined Studio Berçot where I learned to reveal my inner designer’s

personal aesthetic: custom pieces for private clients at prestigious events, wedding dresses, costume design for films, music projects and illustration assignments enhanced my toolkit.

In 2014, after six short months as designer's assistant in Vicomte A's Studio, I was incharge of developing the first womenswear collection in the brand’s history. Trained by a former Hermes Senior Designer and mentored by a former Paco Raban Artistic Director, I learnt French Couture: high quality fabric, elaborate patterns, and

precise craftsmanship.

Filled with new knowledge and determination, I moved to Shanghai, China. I further developed my eye working on various collections as well as learning a lot more about the production side of the industry, working closely with merchandisers, production managers, and suppliers.

After more than ten years working in fashion, I have experienced the creative, the technical, and the production sides of the industry. From researching trends to sourcing, from pattern-making to product matrix, from sketching to technical files, from campaign shoots to product management.
